Typically, sessions of 1.5hrs once or twice per week on the client's premises.
Programmes are designed after initial interviews of all participants to establish level, needs and learning approaches.

- Making general and business telephone calls
- Getting about - asking directions etc.
- Asking for help
- Giving instructions
- Making bookings, confirming arrangements

- present and past tenses
- subject pronouns

- conditional in polite forms

Skills:
- speaking

- writing (if required/desired)
Session format:
- free activity based on points covered in previous session
- introduction of new point - presented
- guided practice from course book
- free practice
- practice in specific situation
- listening activity involving new point plus situation vocabulary
- recap of all points covered in session and homework set.
- final free speech bringing in situations already covered
The participant/s start with known material and finish with known material which they can immediately put to use in a real situation e.g. they could go to dinner with clients with confidence.
